My name is Phillip Andrew Hamilton.

My field of expertise is carpets and floor coverings.

I'm a qualified "Woolsafe Organisation" carpet inspector. I am also an affiliate member of the “Trading Standards Institute” (TSI) as well as being engaged as a floor covering consultant by the “Furniture Ombudsman”.

I have a combination of 35 years’ experience in the carpet profession as a ‘master carpet fitter’ (Full apprenticeship), carpet retailer (proprietor), flooring contractor and carpet restoration technician.

For the past ten years I have been engaged as a full-time international carpet inspector. I frequently work for numerous British, American and European carpet manufacturers, inspecting and investigating consumer complaints, as well as being commissioned by consumer organisations, insurance companies, private and commercial end-users, investigating, reporting and resolving disputes or claims.

I have previously acted as an expert witness in court.

As a Member of TSI I commit to the highest professional standards such as honesty, integrity, competence and a respect for people’s rights. To uphold the principles of fair trading in the community generally by ensuring uniform compliance with trading standards legislation so as to best serve the interests of consumers and traders alike.
